A new opportunity to celebrate students and their achievements!
The Cougar Crag is a fun way for families to celebrate and share special moments. Whether you're recognizing a birthday, congratulating a student or teacher, cheering on a team, or simply spreading positivity—the rock is your canvas!
📍 Location:
The Cougar Crag is located in front of the Perry Hill parking lot. It is visible to all cars driving into Perry Hill and Oak View.
💲 Cost:
$25 per week (Mon-Sat)
👥 Who Can Reserve?
Cougar Crag is open to Perry Hill teachers, staff, and parents/guardians of current students.
🗓️ Reservation Schedule:
Choose the week you want your design displayed—you can begin painting the Sunday before your reservation.
For example, if you reserve August 18-23, you would be allowed to begin painting on Sunday, August 17.
🎨 Painting Tips:
• Use spray paint with primer - About 2-3 cans are needed for just the front of the rock, about 3-4 cans are needed to cover the entire rock.
• Premium paint, such as Rustoleum, works best
• Let the base coat dry (~15 minutes)
• Sketch your design with chalk before painting
• Use acrylic paint for details—it holds up in the rain
• Baby wipes help with cleanup and touch-ups
Other helpful supplies to have on hand while painting are gloves, paper towels, water in a bowl/cup for washing paint brushes in between colors, disposable plates/bowls for paint, cardboard/poster board to lay around the rock while working, and a large trash bag for collecting all trash at the end.
